Central Biologics specializes in autologous tissue storage which allows us to provide hospitals with the highest level of care and security for their patients' vital tissue. Autologous Tissue Storage
- 24/7/365 Autologous tissue services with 1.5 hr average pick up time from initial service call for maximum tissue preservation
- Tissue is only handled by CB staff that are all CTBS certified- no 3rd party couriers
- Tissue is stored in superior freezers that are equipped with an elite monitoring and back up system for peace of mind
- One flat service fee for multi-year tissue storage- additional discounts are available for multi-facility agreements
- All shipping and supplies are included in the service fee- a minimum of two kits are maintained at the facility, and when autologous tissue is picked up, CB will provide a new kit in exchange
- Surgeon dispositions are executed every 6 months or sooner by CB staff members to help manage tissue inventory and minimize additional storage fees for facilities
- All dispositions are verified by a minimum of 2 CB personnel
- CB provides in-person training for staff across all shifts, including weekends
Emergency or non-emergency temporary tissue storage
- Services are offered for 1) Emergency use in the event of a power loss or freezer failure 2) non emergency storage for annual freezer PM maintenance
- Prices quoted are per biological sample and a minimum of 8 grafts are required for this service
- CB personnel will transfer allografts and autologous grafts to a validated shipper with dry ice to the CB tissue bank
- 6 months of temporary cold storage will be provided
- CB will deliver grafts back to the facility in a validated shipper
- A daily/weekly storage temperature log can be emailed upon request
- Coldest storage temperature available is -80°C
Each tissue storage freezer is equipped with EcoFlow Delta Pro generators which provide backup power to ensure continuous freezer operation alongside standard electrical service.
Our tissue storage room is equipped with PHCBI VIP ECO Natural Refrigerant -86°C freezers. We utilize state-of-the-art tissue freezers designed to deliver exceptional reliability and ensure the highest standards of preservation.
